What are the rooms like?
Standard rooms come with one king or two queen beds and run to roughly 350 square feet, and they are sold by view: the Superior rooms look over the Back Bay, Deluxe Back Bay View rooms sit on upper floors facing the Back Bay and South End, Deluxe City View rooms face Boston Harbor, Boston Common or the State House, and Premier Skyline View rooms look toward the skyline, the Charles River and Cambridge. The One Bedroom Suite and the One Bedroom Skyline View Suite are about 420 square feet with a separate living room, the latter with a sleeper sofa. The Loft Suite, about 700 square feet, is an accessible suite with a roll-in shower.
The hotel has recently renovated its rooms and corridors with new carpet, paint and sheer curtains, and king and double-queen rooms now have walk-in showers. The balconies are the hotel's signature, so it is worth asking for a high floor and a view category that matches what you want to look at.
Does the Revere Hotel have a rooftop pool?
No. Rooftop@Revere is a rooftop lounge with cabanas, cocktails, a spritz bar and an all-day menu of shareable plates, handhelds, salads and pizza, with views over Boston Common and the Back Bay skyline; the hotel calls it the largest rooftop lounge in the city. There is no pool on the hotel's website. The rooftop is seasonal: it is closed for the 2026 season and the hotel says it will reopen in spring 2027. When it is open, reservations are strongly encouraged, and hotel guests get in subject to capacity, not automatically.
Where to eat and drink
Rebel's Guild is the hotel's year-round restaurant and bar, themed on Boston's revolutionary taverns. Its all-day menu runs from poke bowls and flatbreads to New England lobster rolls, with craft cocktails and a spritz bar. There is also a Lobby Bar, and the Lobby Lounge is where the complimentary morning coffee is poured. For more choice, the Theatre District, Chinatown and Back Bay restaurants are all within walking distance.
Fees, parking and policies to know before you book
The hotel charges a nightly guest amenities fee, paid at the hotel, on top of the room rate. It covers Wi-Fi, 24-hour fitness center access, coffee and tea in the Lobby Lounge, bottled water, printing, seasonal hotel bikes and Saturday yoga, discounts on bike, kayak and paddleboard rentals, and free entry to the Paul Revere House in the North End with tickets from the front desk. There is no spa. Self-parking is in a garage in the building operated by LAZ Parking, and dogs and other pets are welcome for a fee. The exact figures are in the FAQ below. Rates for Revere Hotel Boston Common can be compared on Expedia.
Is the Revere Hotel in a good location?
For theatergoers and first-time visitors, yes. The hotel sits in the Theatre District between the Back Bay and the South End, a short walk from Boston Common, where the Freedom Trail begins, and from the Public Garden and Newbury Street. Beacon Hill and the Massachusetts State House are also walkable. The hotel describes Back Bay Station, with Orange Line and Commuter Rail service, as a leisurely stroll away. Fenway Park is about 10 to 15 minutes by car.
It suits couples and friends seeing a show, visitors who want balconies and a rooftop in summer, and dog owners. Families who want a pool, or travelers who want a quiet residential street, will do better elsewhere.
