About Boston Vacay

Boston Vacay is a guide to visiting Boston, written for people planning a trip rather than for search engines. It covers the neighbourhoods, the food, getting around, day trips out of the city, and the questions visitors actually ask.

Who writes it

Michael Gonzales. An airline pilot by profession, which is how the travelling started, and how Boston became the city he kept coming back to. The guides here come out of repeated visits rather than a single trip — which neighbourhood is worth the walk, which "must-see" is worth skipping, and how long things really take.

How we handle accuracy

Travel information goes stale faster than almost anything else: opening hours change, restaurants close, prices rise, and a route that worked last year may not this year. Every article carries a date so you can judge it. Where something is time-sensitive — a fare, an admission price, a schedule — check the operator's own site before you rely on it.
